Introduction To BBA ( TU )
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a sought-after field, particularly among +2/intermediate business graduates in Nepal. This four-year program at Tribhuvan University spans 8 semesters and covers 120 credit hours. Specializations include Banking and Finance, Industrial Management, Marketing, Travel and Tourism Management, and Management Information Systems, chosen in the seventh and eighth semesters.
I) Objectives :-
- Familiarize students with real-life business problems to equip them with practical problem-solving skills.
- Prepare students for mid-level business roles across various sectors.
- Provide a professional education integrating information management and computer courses.
- Motivate and prepare students for post-graduate studies.
II) Admission Requirements :-
Candidates must:
- Have completed their +2 or equivalent from a university or board recognized by Tribhuvan University.
- Have secured at least a second division in their +2 or equivalent.
- Follow all application procedures for the entrance examination.
III) Admission Criteria :-
- Written Test :- Candidates must pass the CMAT entrance test covering Verbal Skills, Analyzing Quantitative Techniques, Reasoning with Logic, and General Awareness. A minimum score of 40% is required.
- Interview :- Candidates scoring over 40% are called for an interview, and admission is based on performance.
IV) Entrance Preparation :-
Preparation involves taking the CMAT entrance exam, for which students can join preparation classes, study at home using CMAT entrance books, participate in mock tests, or access model questions online.
V) Career and Scope :-
BBA graduates secure entry and mid-level positions in banks, corporations, and various sectors. Job roles include Sales Officers and Management Trainees. BBA lays a strong foundation for pursuing an MBA. Graduates have ample opportunities in both governmental and non-governmental sectors.
